VENEZUELA: Capriles calls to break the boycott

There is a growing sense that Venezuela is approaching a significant juncture. Just weeks ago, the stagnation of Juan Guaidó’s domestic opposition [WR-20-32] had made it seem that the status quo remained largely unthreatened. And yet the looming presence of two crucial elections – Venezuelas own legislative vote on 6 December and the US presidential contest on 3 November has manufactured something of a crossroads that could yet provide the impetus to break Venezuelas long-standing political deadlock, one way or the other.
