CHILE-PERU: Garcí­a makes big issue of Chilean spy case

The discovery that a Peruvian air force NCO had been spying for Chile since 2003 has provoked a flurry of official indignation in Peru. President Alan Garcí­a cut short his stay at the Apec conference in Singapore, and his government has sent a 328-page dossier to Santiago with the demand that the Bachelet government identify and punish those responsible. This reaction contrasts with Chile's practice of playing down instances, some very recent, of Peruvian spying.
