Bolivia’s outgoing health minister issues ‘second wave’ warning

Bolivia’s 72-year-old health minister Édgar Pozo was forced to step down from the role on 16 January, after testing positive for coronavirus (Covid-19). Before he left, Pozo issued an ominous warning that the country is “in the eye of the storm”, as mounting numbers of cases and deaths seem to suggest that a ‘second wave’ of the pandemic is just around the corner.
