MEXICO: More Chinese involvement in railway projects

The Mexico City (CDMX) government announced on 27 November 2020 that it had awarded a subsidiary of China Railway Corporation (CRCC), CRRC Zhuzhou, a contract to upgrade one of the capital’s main underground railway lines. The Chinese company heads a consortium in which Spanish-owned Coalvi and France’s Thales are also involved.
