* Mexico’s national statistics institute (Inegi) has released the latest figures on Mexico’s trade balance which show that the country posted a US$34.48bn trade surplus in 2020, compared with US$5.4bn in 2019. According to the Inegi figures, total exports amounted to US$417.67bn in 2020, down 9.3% on 2019 while imports totalled US$383.19bn, down 15.8% on 2019. Inegi president
