ARGENTINA | Debt restructuring. Argentina’s government is intent on concluding debt restructuring negotiations with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) by May this year, according to the Fund’s spokesperson Gerry Rice. Speaking during a press conference on 4 February, Rice said that Argentina’s economy minister, Martín Guzmán, had “reiterated the authorities’ wish to complete these negotiations by May this year”, and that the IMF would “continue to do our utmost to meet the minister’s timetable”.
