MEXICO: Slow progress on anti-corruption front

Eradicating government corruption is one of the leading objectives of the Mexican government led by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador. While the López Obrador administration has taken various initiatives on this front since it assumed office in December 2018, different metrics show that only limited progress has been achieved. For the López Obrador administration to reach its objective it will have to move further and faster in the remainder of its term.
