BRAZIL: STF justice annuls Lula’s convictions, paves way for 2022 bid

On 8 March, a judge in Brazil’s supreme court (STF), Luiz Edson Fachin, annulled the convictions against former president Lula da Silva (2003-2011), thereby restoring his political rights.
