BRAZIL: Russian feathers ruffled over rejected vaccine licence

On 28 April, Gustavo Mendes, a representative from Brazil’s federal sanitary regulator (Anvisa), insisted that the regulatory body’s decision to deny an import licence for Russia’s Sputnik V vaccine against the coronavirus (Covid-19) was based on the “principle of precaution”.
