PERU: Negative campaigning dominates run-off

Peru’s run-off presidential ballot – due on 6 June – was dominated up to the last moment by negative campaigning with voters warned against both the perils of ‘communism’, in the shape of left-wing radical Pedro Castillo, or crony capitalism, embodied by right-winger Keiko Fujimori.
