BOLIVIA | Exports picking up. The Cámera Nacional de Exportadores de Bolivia (Caneb), a chamber representing Bolivian exporters, released figures on 25 May showing that exports significantly increased in the first four months of 2021 compared to the same period in 2020. Exports from January-April totalled 34.2%, representing a year-on-year increase of 34.2%, according to a Caneb press release, which stated that “the export sector is optimistic about the speed of the recovery of exports in the first four months of 2021…In Caneb’s opinion, the observed growth will enable the recovery of a key economic sector that was hit very hard by the pandemic.”
