Costa Rica formally joins OECD

Costa Rica has become the fourth country from Latin America and the Caribbean to join the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) after Mexico, Chile, and Colombia. On 25 May, the Paris-based organisation welcomed the Central American country as its 38th member after it completed its domestic procedures for ratification of the OECD Convention and deposited its instrument of accession.
