PERU: Tensions ride high as wait for election verdict continues

On 11 June, Peru’s national electoral court (JNE) reversed a controversial decision to extend the period for challenging the resutls of the 6 June presidential run-off vote between Pedro Castillo of the far-left Perú Libre party, and Keiko Fujimori of the right-wing Fuerza Popular party.
