* The Mexican branch of the BBVA bank has published a report showing that Millennials played a
“fundamental role” in the re-activation of Mexico’s economy during the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic. Millennials, whom BBVA defined as the demographic aged 25 to 39 in 2020, constituted a workforce of 20m people in Mexico during the second half of 2020, which represented almost one in three active workers. BBVA’s study found that Millennials’ monthly income averaged M$7,251 (US$363.6), a figure which grows by 12.3% for Generation X (aged 40 to 54).
