PERU: Castillo on the backfoot

Peru’s President Pedro Castillo’s tumultuous first two weeks in office continued with ministerial resignations, congressional demands for wholesale cabinet changes, and money laundering and terrorism investigations launched into Guido Bellido, the prime minister, and Vladimir Cerrón, the leader of the far-left Perú Libre (PL), the ruling party.
