* Mexico’s national statistics institute (Inegi) has released the latest figures for its monthly global indicator of economic activity (Igae), which show that economic activity, which had dipped in June, has picked up again in July. The Igae grew 0.5% in seasonally-adjusted terms in July compared with June, driven by 1.9% growth in the primary sector (agriculture), 1.1% in the secondary sector (industry), and 0.3% in the tertiary sector (services). In year-on-year terms, the July Igae expanded 7.1% this year, with strong year-on-year performance from industrial activities (7.3%) and services (7.4%), but a 0.7% contraction in agriculture.
