In brief: Mexico’s inflation continues to rise

* Mexico’s national statistics institute (Inegi) has released its latest figures on the national consumer price index (INPC), which show that monthly inflation stood at 0.63% in September. This brings Mexico’s annual inflation to 6.00%, exceeding the 3% +/-1 inflation target range set by the central bank (Banxico). The annual inflation rate has increased compared with August, when headline inflation stood at 5.59%.
