VENEZUELA: Gov’t suspends dialogue in protest at Saab extradition

On 16 October the president of Venezuela’s national assembly, Jorge Rodríguez, announced that the government had suspended its participation in negotiations with the political opposition in response to the extradition of its alleged bagman, Alex Saab, from Cape Verde to the US.
