BRAZIL: Covid inquiry delivers damning conclusions

The work of a commission of parliamentary inquiry (CPI), set up in April to investigate the Brazilian government led by President Jair Bolsonaro’s response to the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, has come to an end. The damning conclusions of the inquiry, which has been conducted in the federal senate, have been presented this week, but a vote on the final report has now been delayed amid reports of tensions among the commission’s members over the contents of the document.
