MEXICO | Fiscal miscellany bill. The lower chamber of congress approved the 2022 fiscal miscellany bill on 21 October after 72 hours of debate by 274-220. The fiscal miscellany bill, which comprises tax rules proposed by the finance ministry, included a number of controversial items, covering the tax treatment of charities, the creation of a new tax registry, and the treatment of used cars illegally imported from the US. This prompted a fierce debate and even pushing and shoving among deputies.
