ARGENTINA: Fernández under pressure

Addressing the G20 in Rome, meeting France’s President Emmanuel Macron in Paris, making proposals to the COP26 Climate Change Conference in Glasgow - in theory these are just the kind of actions on the world stage that should polish Argentina’s President Alberto Fernández’s domestic image as a stateman and rally his voters ahead of this month’s congressional elections. But it does not seem to be working.
