In brief: Uruguay’s inflation picks up

* Uruguay’s national statistics institute (INE) has released the latest figures on the consumer price index (IPC), which show that the country registered inflation of 1.04% in October. This brings annual inflation in the 12 months to October to 7.89%, up from annual inflation of 7.41% in September and outside of the 3%-7% target range set by the central bank (BCU).
