* The Observatório Venezolano de Finanzas (OVF), an independent think tank founded by Venezuela’s political opposition, has reported that inflation continued to slow in October. According to the OVF, monthly inflation was 8.1% in October, compared to 9.7% the previous month. Meanwhile, annual inflation was 1,258%, down from 1,456% in September. The sectors that saw the most monthly inflation were recreation (19.2%), education (11.8%), transport (11.3%), and alcoholic drinks (10.5%).
