BRAZIL: Legislators wrestle with supreme court over slush fund

On 11 November Arthur Lira, the president of Brazil’s federal chamber of deputies, said he would abide by a supreme court (STF) ruling that froze certain discretionary spending for legislators, but insisted control over the slush fund must remain with parliament.
