In brief: Peru’s production rises in September

* Peru’s national statistics institute (Inei) has published figures showing that national production at the national level increased by 9.71% in September, compared to the same month in 2020. The largest year-on-year increases in production were seen in hotels and restaurants (85.05%) transport, storage and courier services (24.39%), construction (12.63%), agriculture (11.49%), and mining and hydrocarbons (11.07%). The sectors that saw reduced year-on-year production in September were fishing (-39.18%) and finance and insurance (-1.55%).
