In brief: Honduras’ foreign debt inches up

* Honduras’ central bank (BCH) has released new figures which show that the country’s foreign debt (public and private combined) totalled US$11.01bn as of the end of September this year. This is up by US$32.1m on the US$10.98bn recorded at year-end 2020, and compares to the US$10.90bn recorded in September 2020. Of the total amount of Honduras’ foreign debt, US$9.17bn corresponds to public sector debt, and US$1.84bn to the private sector.
