In brief: Mexico hails record agri-food exports

* Mexico’s agriculture & rural development ministry (Sader) has reported that the country’s agri-food exports totalled US$32.75bn in the first nine months of 2021, the highest figure recorded in the past 29 years. According to the same report, agri-food imports totalled US$27.34bn. Mexico’s most significant agri-food exports were beer (sales of which totalled US$4.14bn in the first nine months of 2021); followed by tequila & mezcal (US$2.38bn) and avocados (US$2.18bn).
