In brief: Costa Rica registered highest inflation in seven years

*Costa Rica’s national statistics institute (Inec) has released its latest figures on inflation which show that this closed at 3.30% in 2021, the highest rate in seven years. The same figures however show that monthly inflation in December 2021 was 0.48%, down from 0.82% in November, 0.49% in October and 0.63% in September.
