BRAZIL: Central bank president explains beyond-target inflation
On 11 January, the president of Brazil’s central bank (BCB), Roberto Campos Neto, addressed an open letter to Economy Minister Paulo Guedes to explain why inflation exceeded the BCB’s target range in 2021, after new figures showed that inflation closed the year at 10.06%.
