Matías Kulfas, has said that Argentine industry closed the year with its highest level of activity in three years. He said that in December 2021 industrial activity was up 13.3% on December 2019 and up 7.6% on 2020. He singled out sectors such the automobile industry both in terms of recovery and driving growth. For example, he cited figures which showed that car production totalled 430,000 units in 2021, up 38.1% on 2019 despite the global shortage of semiconductors which is affecting automobile manufacturing globally.
