ARGENTINA: IMF debt deal averts default

On 28 January Argentina’s President Alberto Fernández announced that his government had struck a deal with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to restructure its outstanding debt of US$44.5bn from the 2018 Stand-By Arrangement (SBA).
