HONDURAS: Killing of indigenous activist underlines priority for new government

The United Nations (UN) Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in Honduras and Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) have both condemned the recent killing of Pablo Isabel Hernández, a local indigenous Lenca leader, activist and human rights defender (HRD). His murder has underlined a key priority for the new Honduran government – addressing violence targeting HRDs.
