In brief: Peru’s GDP grows in Q4 2021

* Peru’s national statistics institute (Inei) has announced that GDP grew 3.2% in Q4 2021, compared to the same quarter in 2020. The latest figures bring Peru’s GDP growth last year to 13.3%, following year-on-year increases of 11.4% in Q3, 41.9% in Q2, and 3.8% in Q1. Inei attributed the Q4 growth to increased household consumption (+4.0% year-on-year) and exports of goods and services (+9.5%).
