* Colombia’s national statistics department (Dane) has released the consumer price index for February, which put monthly inflation at 1.63% and year-on-year inflation at 8.01%. The largest price increases in February were in education (+4.48%), food and non-alcoholic drinks (+3.26%), domestic products (+2.60%), and restaurants and hotels (+2.22%). The government led by President Iván Duque has taken several steps to tame inflation in recent weeks, raising interest rates and suspending import tariffs on 165 products.
