In brief: E-commerce surges in Argentina

*Argentina’s chamber of e-commerce (CACE) has released new figures which show that e-commerce sales totalled Ar$1.5bn (US$13.71m) in 2021, up 68% on the previous year, in which the practice took off due to the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic. CACE director Alberto Calvo told state news agency Télam that over 600,000 people carried out their first online purchase last year.
