In brief: Argentina’s primary deficit grows

* Argentina’s economy ministry has announced that the country posted a primary fiscal deficit of Ar$76.28bn (US$693.6m) in February, compared to Ar$18.75bn in the same month in 2021. Total government income in February was Ar$846.03bn (+61.5% year-on-year), while primary expenditures, including debt repayments, totalled Ar$922.31bn (+70.0%).
