COLOMBIA: Bogotá bombing moves Farc dissidents up electoral agenda

A bomb blast tore through a police checkpoint in Bogotá on 26 March, killing two children and injuring a further 33 people. The attack was claimed by the dissident 33rd Front of the disbanded Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia (Farc). With the first round of the presidential elections just two months away, the attack has increased scrutiny on candidates’ views regarding a possible peace agreement with dissident Farc groups.
