BRAZIL: Moro exits race, centre remains divided

On 31 March Brazil’s Sergio Moro, the former judge who presided over the ‘Lava Jato’ corruption cases and a former justice minister (2019-2020), dropped out of this year’s presidential race while São Paulo state governor João Doria confirmed his candidacy, in a political frenzy that marked the unofficial beginning of the election campaign.
