ARGENTINA | Food subsidies expanded. Faced with growing inflationary pressures, the Buenos Aires government on 6 April announced a 50% increase in the monthly food subsidies offered to 2.4m low-income households. Effective from May, the Tarjeta Alimentar card, currently paying Ar$6,000 (US$54) a month for food purchases, will be increased.
