MEXICO: New CDMX airport inaugurated but incomplete

President Andrés Manuel López Obrador inaugurated the new Felipe Ángeles international airport (AIFA), located 50km north of Mexico City (CDMX), on 21 March. This marks the completion of the first of the president’s flagship infrastructure projects, with the Tren Maya railway in southern Mexico, Dos Bocas oil refinery in Tabasco state, and the trans-isthmus trainline, which will connect the Pacific coast to the Gulf of Mexico, still in the works.
