BRAZIL: Lula softens discourse on labour reform

On 26 April, leftist former president Lula da Silva (2003-2011), who is the frontrunner in Brazil’s October presidential elections, stepped back from his party’s proposal to entirely scrap the 2017 labour law, speaking instead of a negotiated reform.
