In brief: Chile’s trade surplus shrinks

* Chile’s central bank (BCCh) has released new figures which show that the country’s exports in April totalled US$8.4bn while imports totalled US$7.4bn, leaving a trade surplus of US$1bn. This is down from March, when exports totalled US$9.5bn and imports totalled US$8.2bn, leaving a trade surplus of US$1.3bn.
