In brief: Colombia posts solid Q1 growth
* Colombia’s national statistics department (Dane) has released new figures which show that the country’s GDP grew 8.5% in the first quarter of 2022, year-on-year, and 1% on the previous quarter in seasonally-adjusted terms. The sectors posting the highest year-on-year growth were artistic activities, entertainment & recreation (+35.7%), information and communications (+20.6%), trade (+15.3%), and manufacturing (+11.1%). The only sector to contract was agriculture, livestock & fisheries (-2.5%).
