* Brazil’s state-controlled oil company, Petrobras, has announced that it is studying the environmental feasibility of building an offshore wind farm in Aracatu municipality, Bahia state, in partnership with Norwegian energy company Equinor. According to a Petrobras statement, the wind farm, which would be located 20km off shore, would be capable of generating approximately 4GW. The partnership between Petrobras and Equinor follows a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed in 2018, in which the two companies pledged to begin cooperating on renewable energy initiatives.
