In brief: Peru to seek mining investments in Canada
* Peru’s trade promotion agency (PromPerú) has announced that it will present a portfolio of mining investment opportunities worth US$17.3m at the 2022 convention of the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC), scheduled to take place in Toronto from 13-15 June. PromPerú said that it will seek investment in advanced mining equipment, and that the Peru delegation will include Finance Minister Óscar Graham, central bank (BCRP) president Julio Velarde, and Raúl Jacob, the president of Peru’s main extractive lobby Sociedad Nacional de Minería, Petróleo y Energía (SNMPE).
