*Brazil’s national statistics institute (Ibge) has released the latest figures on the consumer price index (IPCA), which show that monthly inflation stood at 0.47% in May, bringing the annual figure to 11.73%. The May figures are down from the monthly rate of 1.06% and annual rate of 12.13% in April.
