* Mexico’s national statistics institute (Inegi) has released the latest figures for its monthly global indicator of economic activity (IGAE) which show economic activity increased by 1.1% in April, as compared to the previous month. In seasonally-adjusted monthly terms, activities in the tertiary sector (services) grew 1.3%, while the secondary sector (industry) was up 0.6% and the primary sector (agriculture) decreased 1.3%. In year-on-year terms, economic activity increased by 2%, with the primary sector up 5.3%, secondary activities up 2.9% and the tertiary sector increasing 1.1%.
