* Paraguay’s central bank (BCP) has published the consumer price index for June, showing a monthly inflation rate of 0.5%, up from 0.4% in June 2021. With this result, accumulated inflation stood at 6% for the first half of 2022, a large increase from the 1.5% recorded in the same period of 2021. BCP stated that annual inflation stood at 11.5% at the end of June, up from the annual rate of 4.5% registered at the same point in 2021. BCP attributed the increase in June to rising prices of fuel, services, some durable goods and health costs.
