In brief: Brazil seeking to boost trade with Arab countries

* Brazil’s secretary of foreign trade, Lucas Ferraz, has said that President Jair Bolsonaro’s government is seeking deeper trade ties with Arab nations, as talks continue regarding potential trade agreements with Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Lebanon. Addressing the ‘Brazil and Arab Countries Economic Forum’ in São Paulo, which was attended by representatives from the 22 countries in the Arab League, Ferraz said that the Bolsonaro administration is seeking to diversify Brazil’s export portfolio to expand trade with Arab countries.
