In brief: Oil and gas production falls in Brazil

* Brazil’s Agência Nacional do Petróleo, Gás Natural, e Biocombustíveis (ANP), the federal oil and gas regulator, has announced that production of both oil and natural gas fell in May. Oil production in May averaged at 2.88m barrels per day, down 4.0% compared to the previous month and down 1.8% year-on-year. Natural gas production in May averaged at 132m cubic metres per day, down 3.8% on the previous month and down 2.1% year-on-year.
